JoSAA seat allotment and choice filling

As we know the 2 main examination of our country JEE mains and advanced are now reschedule due to COVID-19. New dates for both the exams are given below

JEE mains - 18 to 23 July

JEE advance - 23 July.

After the announcement of result ,seat filling through JoSAA will begin. JoSAA is the main body made by Indian govt for allocating seat of different courses in different IITs ,IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs. Its full form is joint seat allocating Authority. On their websites student can fill their choices of course and institute.

Eligibility criteria for JoSAA

For those who are seeking admission through JoSAA counselling 2020, following eligibility condition are mandatory:-

1) Qualifying JEE Advance for academic programs( excluding preparotory courses) at IITs.

OR

2) Qualifying JEE Advance for preparatory courses at IITs and must have satisfactory performance in class 12 or equivalent examination .

OR

3) They should fulfill the following eligibility criteria to appear for B.E.or B.Tech programs in IITs , IIITs ,NITs or GFTIs -:

a. A rank in JEE Mains 2020 paer I for B.E./ B.Tech program.

b. Should have passes class 12 or equivalent with physics and mathematics as a compulsory subjects along with one of the chemistry , biology, biotechnology or

other technical vocational subject..
